ARANIZER TROUBLESHOOTING & NOTES
Before going through the the time, trouble and expense of returning an Aranizer for repairs, please perform a thorough check keeping in mind the following points. If there is any doubt feel free to contact us before shipping the Aranizer.
Sometimes Aranizers that are functioning normally are returned to us for repairs. Check the basics first.
THINGS TO CHECK FIRST
- Is the plug securely plugged into a properly working electrical outlet of the correct voltage for the unit?
- Is the fuse blown? Fuse is located in the plug between the round grounded prong and the two "hot" rectangular metal prongs on the face of the plug
- Is the Aranizer turned on?
GAUGING ARAN OUTPUT BY THE HISSING SOUND
The hissing sound produced by the Aranizer can be a good way to gauge its functioning, but remember the following when trying to determine if the output or performance of an Aranizer has changed significantly enough to warrant its return for servicing.
1. The hissing sound may be perceived to be louder or softer than the norm due to the noise level in the room.
2. The output of a certain model Aranizer may vary from an identical unit due to normal variances in transformer outputs and other internal components supplied by vendors.
3. Various environmental conditions can effect the output and performance of the Aranizer.
- Temperature variations
- Inconsistent power sources
- Very high or low humidity, etc.
4. Change in pollution level. Many things can change the level of pollution:
- The addition of pets
- The addition of smokers
- The addition of new furniture or carpeting etc.
If an Aranizer was sized to a room based on the environmental conditions, and those conditions have changed drastically, a larger unit may be needed to deal with the new conditions. Just because there is an odor when there was none before does not necessarily mean the Aranizer is malfunctioning.
